Holidays begin 19th April 2012

Punctuality at School: We wish to remind our valued parents and guardians especially the new ones, that lateness to school is not tolerated. Pupils are expected to be in school by 7:30a.m. The gates as usual will be shut at 8:00a.m., and all latecomers turned away. Please help the children get to school on time. Remember to call the school before 8:00a.m., if for any reason your child will be late. Please store the following numbers on your phones for easy access.

                 0302- 317573

                       028- 5045278

                       028- 5045260

                       024- 3513365

                       024- 4776211

Late Picking up: We also wish to remind you that late picking up of children after school (after 5:15p.m.) attracts a penalty of GH¢5.00 each day.

Supervision of Homework: We wish to let our new parents know that we place a lot of premium on giving and doing of homework; as it goes a long way to give us feedback on whether children are really understanding what they are being taught or not; so we would appreciate it very much if you would make sure your children do their pieces of homework neatly and turn them in on time for marking. Please remember to sign all pieces of homework done.

Hair Extensions: This is mainly for the information of our new parents even though it is stated clearly in the handbooks you were given. The use of all forms of artificial extensions in children’s hair is strictly forbidden.

• Footwear: Please be reminded that the prescribed footwear for school is black or brown flat-heeled full shoes with socks or black or white trainers or sneakers with socks.

Whipping up /Upgrading: You will be informed if your child needs extra tuition to help him or her catch up with the class. Please allow them to participate if we recommend that they do. Extra tuition attracts additional fee which must be settled promptly at the Accounts Office. Our teachers become discouraged when after so much effort parents fail to honour their part of the bargain. If you hand over the money for extra tuition directly to a teacher, please demand a receipt. We are being compelled to refuse extra tuition to some children this term because their parents have consistently refused to pay for services rendered.

• Drinking Water: Please always remember to give your children enough drinking water for school. Parents of children in the Nursery may leave money with class teachers to buy sachet water when their children run out of supply.

Colour celebration days: In order to make the learning of colour names fun for our children in the Nursery, their teachers may, every now and then, ask them to wear specific colours of clothing items to school. Eg. red, blue etc socks; yellow, orange etc. ‘T’ shirts with Friday wear. Class teachers will give prior notice to parents but we do not want parents to feel compelled to comply, if it would involve extra expenditure.

• School fees: Please do well to settle at least 50% of your child’s school fees immediately. The rest must be settled by 29th February, 2012. Failure to pay at least 50% by Monday, 16th January, 2012, will result in your child being turned away.

We look forward to a fruitful term of working together for the good of our children, and may God richly bless you all.

Yours faithfully,

Exonam Agyapon-Ntra (Mrs.)
Principal
