Emergencies
- pupils should ask to be excused from class only in an   emergency.
Conflicts- Differences between pupils should be handled in a positive manner. Physical fighting or verbal abuse will not be tolerated. Pupils who believe that they have a conflict with another pupil that may lead to a physical or verbal exchange should see the principal, the vice or a teacher in an effort to find a safe, positive way to deal with the problems. Fighting at school will not be tolerated and will  result in disciplinary action.
Stealing is prohibited and will result in disciplinary action.
Profanity- Using profane language and display of vulgar materials are not acceptable at any time.

Selling- Pupils are not permitted to sell any items at school without the principal’s approval.
Pupils may not leave school premises after their arrival. Parents must physically report to the main office to check their children out.
Honesty- Pupils who do not tell the truth about their involvement in disciplinary incidents, risk additional disciplinary action. Cheating on class work, quizzes or tests will result in a zero on the assignment, parents contacted by the teacher and disciplinary action incurred. Should the pupil cheat a second time, the pupil will receive a zero for the assignment, the parents contacted and the pupil suspended.
Food and drinks- Food and drinks are not allowed to be eaten in the classrooms.
Littering of classrooms and the school compound is strictly prohibited.

GUIDELINES FOR PUPIL BEHAVIOUR
Quiet and order- an atmosphere of calm is essential to learning; quiet voices, gentle handling of books, chairs and tables. Pupils are expected to conduct themselves appropriately. Pupils sent out of class for disciplinary reasons are to report directly to the Administrative office. Disruption and or interference with classes will not be tolerated.

Insubordination
- pupils are expected to follow the instructions and directions of the school staff. Pupils not following staff instructions are   insubordinate and will be sanctioned.
Care of School property- pupils are responsible for proper care of books,supplies, furniture and other school property. Pupils will be required to pay for school property they damage or destroy and will also be subject to   disciplinary action.
Being prompt to class- pupils shall be punctual to class with books, and other necessary materials such as pencils,

HARASSMENT
Harassment is putting down, pestering, taunting, touching, following, inappropriately joking about, or otherwise making another individual feel threatened or uncomfortable. This includes malicious harassment (any derogatory action or intimidation of another person) and sexual harassment (any unwelcome or   uninvited sexual advances, requests for sexual favours, sexual comments,  cartoon, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature). Any pupil  engaged in harassment or threatening is subject to disciplinary action.

SEXUAL HARASSMENT
Dayspring is committed to providing a learning environment free form sexual harassment and will not tolerate such conduct on the part of any pupil or staff. If the facts appear to support a sexual harassment complaint, immediate action will be taken. Disciplinary action  will include: warning, suspension, or expulsion of the offending person.

Forms of sexual harassment include, but are not limited to the following:

Verbal harassment, including derogatory comments, jokes, requests or other unwelcome sexually oriented language.
Physical harassment, including unnecessary or offensive touching, repeatedly brushing against another person’s body, or impeding or blocking movement.
Visual harassment- including offensive posters, cards, cartoons, graffiti, drawings or gestures.

Any act, which may be defined as sexual harassment, when perpetrated on any pupil or employee will be treated as sexual harassment under this policy. Any person who believes sexual harassment is occurring should immediately report this offensive conduct to the Principal. All complaints will be investigated and the culprit punished.

 
DMIS

BULLYING
Bullying is any pattern of behavior by a pupil, a group of pupils that is intended to harass, intimidate, ridicule, humiliate, or instill fear in another pupil or group of pupils. Bullying can exist in the form of a threat, actual physical harm, or      verbal abuse of another pupil. Bullying violates the school standards of       conduct. Disciplinary consequences, which include suspension, will be         imposed.

STAFF AUTHORITY
Pupils must courteously and respectfully comply with the reasonable requests of any teacher, staff member or administrator in or out of the classroom. Pupils are expected to give names, if asked for them by any staff member or school employee. Failure to comply with the directions of the school personnel acting in the performance of their duties shall be considered insubordinate and      subject to immediate discipline.

DRESS CODE
The school’s prescribed uniform should be worn from Monday to Thursday, and the school’s Friday Wear on Fridays. The prescribed P. E. uniform must be worn for P. E.
